What a trade quote needs
1. The basics
Your business name and how to reach you, the customer's name and address, a number and a date. That's the part people rarely forget.
2. How long the price stands
Materials move, and a quote with no end date is one a customer can hold you to next spring. Thirty days is normal, and it's what this template starts with.
3. VAT, done properly
If you're VAT registered, your VAT number goes on and the VAT is shown separately. If you're not, the template says "No VAT charged" under the total so nobody has to ask.
4. Words the customer uses
"Strip and re-felt the rear flat roof" wins more jobs than a line that just says "Roofing works". Say what you'll do, then what it costs.
