Comparing job management apps

A Tradify alternative with your website built in.

Tradify charges for every person on it. ServiceM8 charges for how busy you are. I charge one price, and I write and run your website as part of it. Here’s how the sums come out.

I haven’t run either of their products, so I’ll leave how good they are to people who have. This is about how they charge. Their prices were read off their own pricing pages on 2 October 2026.

How each one charges.

Tradify

£37 a user, per user, per month.

Their middle plan. The cheapest is £34 and the dearest is £44, all per user.

Their pricing page

ServiceM8

£59 a month, one price, capped by jobs.

As many of you as you like, but 150 jobs a month. It is £25 for 50 and £119 for 500.

Their pricing page

MyTradeSite

£99 a month, a website, rented.

Nothing up front and no contract. It was £49 in August. This is the website half, not the office half.

Their pricing page

Me

£249 a month, one price for the whole firm.

The app, the office and your website with its local pages. Plus £2,495 to set it up, which they don’t charge.

The monthly sum

Per-user pricing is fine until you take someone on.

Tradify’s middle plan is £37 a person. Most firms also pay for a website somewhere, so the second column adds a rented one at £99.

From 5 of you, Tradify and a website cost more each month than this does. From 7, Tradify on its own does.

When to buy theirs

Sometimes they’re the right answer.

If it’s just you, you’ve already got a website that brings the work in, and you want to start this afternoon, take ServiceM8 at £59. You’d be paying me four times that, and the build fee on top.

The same goes if you need certificates, CIS or Xero today. None of those are in mine.

What the difference pays for

One system, set up for you.

Your website, written and built, with pages for the work you do and the towns you cover. An enquiry from it lands in the app as a job, already typed in. I set the whole thing up around how you work, and I’m the one you ring when something’s wrong.

Moving from something else? Send me an export of your customers and I’ll tell you what bringing them across involves before I quote.

Two ways in, one system underneath

Two ways in.

The full system, or the website first with the app switched on later for the difference.
